Links with other governments
Opportunity
We greatly enjoy and value the opportunity to discuss issues of mutual concern with representatives of other governments. As we noted in our report last year there is, in many countries, a growing concern about public service ethics. The UK Civil Service continues to be held in very high esteem among governments around the world. It is considered by many to be the model that they strive to emulate. We continue to find widespread international interest in our work as an example of good practice.
Visits
During the year the First Civil Service Commissioner met many representatives of foreign administrations including:
- The Public Sector Standards Commission from Victoria, Australia

It was attended by representatives from public service commissions from Barbados, Brunei Darussalam, India, Kenya, Malawi, Maldives, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Africa, Turks and Caicos Islands and Uganda.
