What we do
The Civil Service Commissioners regulate appointments into the Civil Service and uphold the Civil Service values.
We contribute to the development of an effective and impartial Civil Service and support its core values. We do this by assuring that appointments into the Civil Service are made on merit on the basis of fair and open competition. And also by promoting the Civil Service Code and hearing appeals under it.
In this report you will find descriptions of our work during 2007-08 in all our areas of activity.
The core values of the Civil Service are integrity, honesty, objectivity, impartiality and selection on merit. Everything the Commissioners do is directed toward upholding them.
