Responses
We received twenty responses from organisations that between them employ just under 50% of the total number of civil servants in the Home Civil Service.
The survey sample responses indicate a great deal of positive activity within departments and agencies to promote the Civil Service Code. A number of departments have already identified that their practices could be improved in certain areas. They indicated in their responses the improvements they would be seeking to make. In a number of cases departments reported that their induction processes were being changed and that the Civil Service Code and the Civil Service values would figure more prominently in their new induction programme.
