In May 2008 the Commissioners asked all departments and agencies how many appeals they had dealt with during the year that had been resolved at department or agency level. These were cases that had not therefore involved an appeal to the Commissioners.
The results indicate that there were 27 Civil Service Code appeal case dealt with at departmental level. This is a significant increase on the previous year when only four such cases were reported to the Commissioners.
