Best practice in promoting the Code
The Commissioners continued the collaborative work that had produced the new version of the Code in 2006. We continued to work with the Cabinet Office and a group of Permanent Secretaries to produce a Best Practice Checklist to help departments and agencies to promote the Code. This was launched in June 2007.
The Best Practice Checklist is a straightforward but comprehensive guide. It outlines the actions that departments might take at each stage of their interactions with their staff, from recruitment and induction through to training and communications.
