We found a number of examples of good practice including:
- recruitment process training for departmental staff and panel members
- the careful consideration of marketing and advertising strategies, with more emphasis towards e-advertising and the internet
- the removal of the applicant’s personal details during sifting to avoid unintentional bias
- well thought out post-campaign follow up procedures
- well developed job and person specifications
- formal requirements to declare existing relationships with candidates
