Continuing Work during 2010/11
We believe that it is important that departments and agencies have an appropriate amount of time to consider and act on the results of our 2009 audit of the Civil Service Code. We have therefore decided that the next audit should be in spring 2011.
The Commissioners are determined to provide as much practical support as we can to those civil servants involved in promoting and upholding the Civil Service Code and values. To do this, we are developing a password protected dedicated area of our website for use by Nominated Officers and others within departments and agencies with responsibility for promoting the Code.
We are working with departmental representatives and also with the Cabinet Office to provide a range of useful tools for Nominated Officers and others involved in promoting and upholding the Code. This will include an on-line forum to invite discussion on issues of common interest and to enable the sharing of experiences and good practice.
